Imitating Life™ - in progress since December 2004

Imitating Life™, is an innovative, autobiographical feature-length documentary. Through the use of photographs, film and video clips, as well as excerpts from his many films, director Robert Wilson reconstructs his life in frames and places it in a three act narrative. A self-reflexive film that tells an interesting story about his early family life, development as a filmmaker, and his marriage to singer/composer Tatevik Sarkisyan.

Drellander™ Project

DESCRIPTION:

As part of the drellander™ project, Tamerlane has undertaken a task of producing a book/CD called “The story of drellander™”.

As Anni meets Albert on Lavalife online, he sends her a letter followed by his short story that capture her heart and she shares her songs with him on the phone. He asks her to sing as both of them are very shy to speak at first and she expresses her emotions. Although they have different cultural backgrounds and grew up in diferent sides of the world, she realizes that he is that special someone she always wanted to meet because he is able to feel her soul through her music. The beauty of this project is that you can actually hear the songs on the accompanying CD and it is based on a true story. There are philosophical & romantic discussions about the songs’ lyrics between Anni & Albert: they learn that they share similar values in life and their relationship develops. Being a writer/director and amature animator himself, he encourages her to follow her childhood passion and leads her to success. Based on his loved one’s looks, he creates a character in virtual reality, “drellander™”, who gives “stage performances” that stream online – “SIMONE” on the web, if you’d like. And once the book & the songs are put together, it can make a good story for the feature and animators and web developers will be sought after to experiment and actually try it! Interested? News: A DYING FALL, an independent film project, pre-licensed by CBC aired on Canadian Reflections Channel on July 23, 2006 full 35-min version.
