Mission

Tamerlane Productions is committed to producing high-quality film and video productions on a diverse range of subject matter that explore and examine human behaviours, passions and emotions. Employing a wide variety of visual mediums that combine classic film aesthetics with an inventive approach to new styles and techniques, Tamerlane strives to push the boundaries of the art form with thought-provoking films that entertain, unsettle, and inspire.

Vision

Founded by Canadian writer/director Robert William Wilson, the company continues to produce compelling films that strive to harness the visual medium’s unique power to educate, enlighten and entertain. Whether it be Film Adaptations of classic works of literature, Dramatic Shorts, Music Videos, Black & White Home Movies or Feature-length Documentaries, the art of filmmaking can turn a mirror on humanity and reflect our stories, our personalities, and our culture back to us, and pose interesting questions about our lives and how we live them.

A Dying Fall, an independent film project, pre-licensed by the CBC aired on Canadian Reflections on July 23, 2006, at 11 pm (Eastern Time), full 35-min version (watch trailer).

ADF won PLATINUM (1st place in its category of shorts) at WorldFest Houston 2007 (view winner’s list) and was recently picked up for international distribution to mobile devices & online short film markets for user-friendly download by Ouat Media (click here) !
